Wedding Fun

We are so grateful for being invited and meeting some amazing people. The family of the bride and the family of the groom really welcomed our family and we hope to meet again in Chicago, IL, in July 2012.
Spring Training

We enjoyed a spring training game in the middle of our spring break. We enjoyed getting out of the house and headed to Old Town Scottsdale to watch the Indians/Giants play. Derek was excited about seeing "Fear the Beard" on the field pitching. However, it was about 90˚ out and no shading in the area we were sitting. Zack and Layla spent only part of the game actually watching before the DS games came out. I could only bear so much of the sun when my skin started burning. I finally surrendered after 3 innings and took the kids to an area with lots of shading to cool down. They enjoyed running in the grass and sitting in the shade. The kids also enjoyed riding in the cart to and from our car, instead of walking.
We also visited with an old friend for about 10 minutes. Ira Douglas and his family was a great finish to our spring training game. If you asked me, who won? I would say the Boye Family won!
Return to Tucson

We returned to Tucson for a friend's wedding. We were so excited to visit with our friend, Ellen and her family and new in-laws. But the truth is we were not too excited about returning to Tucson. (BORRING!) We didn't have really anything to do nor anyone to see. However, there was only ONE place we HAD to go and it was priority place #1 for Saturday.
We went swimming in the morning to the cheers of the Layla and Zackery! We got ourselves ready and made the trip across the town to Grand Ave. and were so excited when we came across the "Pat's" sign. Still the same place, as we were lucky enough to find a parking spot. We stocked up on the Pat's special and indulged in chili dog heaven! I was incredibly happy!
I'm sad to report that Layla was not a fan of the chili dogs and settled for fried shrimp. (She's nuts obviously!) Zack was indifferent and enjoyed his burger and the box of fries. I wish I brought a cooler so I could take more chili dogs for the road trip home. They were soooo delicious!
Braces!
